Nkuringo gorilla family has 18 individual gorilla members and sometimes are joined by members form the Busawo gorilla family that crosses from the Rushaga trekking sector and it was habituated earliest in this sector in 1977.

Nkuringo gorilla sector is found on high altitude and this makes trekking a more demanding and strenuous activity that requires you to be physically fit and thus you need to be physically fit for a trek this gorilla sector in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park. Like any other gorilla family, a total of 8 people are allowed to visit the gorilla group per day.
