Itinerary details
Day 1: Travel day to Murchison Falls National Park
Depart Kampala in the early morning and drive northwards for Masindi. Stop over at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Trekking. A guided walking safari will take you close to watch the rhinos grazing in the wild. Stop over for Lunch at a selected restaurant en-route at Masindi town. Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park driving through the spectacular Budongo Forest – KaniaPabidi area where you expect to see lots of birds and primate species including olive baboons and monkeys. Proceed to check in at your selected lodge arriving in time for dinner at pakuba safari lodge
Day 2: Morning game drive –Afternoon boat cruise- Murchison Falls National Park
Breakfast, and then take a morning game drive with a park ranger/guide on the northern bank. The game likely to be encountered include; Elephant, Buffalo, Uganda Kob, Hartebeest, Oribi, Giraffe, Leopard and other game. It is only here that you can trail wildlife with an armed ranger guide. Return to the Lodge for lunch, after which, we take a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. Lookout for Hippos, Nile crocodile, Waterbuck and a host of water birds. Return for dinner and overnight at Pakuba safari lodge
Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park- Transfer to Kibale national park
After morning breakfast, check out and leave Murchison falls national park to Kibale national park but you will have another morning game drive and this will offer to you an opportunity to see animals that missed during the previous game drives but the main focus will be put at hunting the early morning hunters of the park . Then drive to Kibale National park through Fort Portal take lunch along the way. Arrive late evening for a nocturnal walk inBigodi swamp in search for solitary giant shoe bill, Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge.
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, we drive to Kibale forest starting point to embark on a morning forest walk in search of chimpanzee. As we trail we may also encounter other primates in this forest which include, Gray Cheeked Mangabeys, Red-tailed Monkey, Olive Baboon, Black and White Colobus, etc. Return for lunch and after, Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park for dinner and an overnight at Parkview safari lodge
Day 5: Morning Game drives and afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel
After breakfast, depart lodge for morning game drive and during this game drive many animals will be explored and these include lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, serval cat and these are well known as “the early morning hunters of the park”, Cape buffaloes, herds of giant elephants, Uganda Kobs the only antelope that is known to be endemic to Uganda, water buck, red buck, sitatunga , bush duiker the smallest animal in the antelope family, Giant forest hog, Warthogs, olive baboon, many birds and many other animals return to the lodge for relaxation, lunch and then go for afternoon launch cruise on Kazinga Channel, a place believed to host the largest concentration of Hippopotamus in Africa. Also seen are buffalo, kob, the occasional Nile crocodile (which up to recently could not be seen) and a spectacular bird viewing opportunity. Dinner and overnight at Parkview safari lodge.
Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking in Kayambura and Evening game drive – QENP
After an early tea/coffee, drive to Kyambura gorge with packed breakfast. We enter the Kyambura gorge for another yet different experience with the primates. Kyambura Gorge is a natural home for habituated chimpanzees; this area also supports mammals similar to those in the bush area of the park and three saline crater lakes, which attract large numbers of Flamingos. We return to our lodge and relax the rest of the evening. Dinner and overnight at Parkview safari lodge.
Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha sector for tree climbing lions
After an early morning breakfast, check out ready to depart south with picnic lunch through the famous Ishasha sector for a game drive in search of tree climbing lions. After our lunch we then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest arriving early evening. Dinner and overnight Buhoma community Banda’s
Day 8: Gorilla Trekking –Batwa community walk and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Early breakfast, and with our picnic lunch, we then head to the park offices for briefing prior to tracking the mountain gorillas. Later, start your trek with a ranger and other gorilla trackers to find the gorillas. Trekking may take anything between an hour to 5-6 hours depending on the family and the terrain, encountering rain and muddy conditions along the way so be physically fit, come with sturdy hiking boots, long pants, gloves and raincoat. Maximum time spent with the gorillas is 1 hour. Return for lunch and check out and depart for cultural performances at the Batwa communities from there go straight to check in at Lake Bunyonyi over landers for Dinner and overnight
Day 9: canoeing at Lake Bunyonyi and transfer to Lake Mburo national park
While on a 13-days wildlife safaris and jinja city tour, after breakfast, visit crater lakes and do some of the optional activities but canoeing will be best for you or swimming with stretching your muscles since you physically participate and later transfer to Lake Mburo national park through Kigezi high lands and you will arrive in the rate evening for relaxation dinner and an overnight.
Day 10: Morning game drive and afternoon sport fishing on Lake Mburo
Morning breakfast then, depart for morning game drive and you will be welcomed by many animals since this park is now containing the biggest number of animals and most of the animals in the park are herbivorous and these include Impala, Zebra, Topi, Buffalo, Crocodile, Hippo, warthogs, giraffes, eland, bush duikers, olive baboons, velvet monkeys and a variety of bird and plant life. Return to the lodge for lunch and then go for sport fishing on Lake Mburo National park Dinner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge
Day 11: Lake Mburo – Jinja
After breakfast, take morning horseback riding safarithen transfer to Kampala for lunch and then proceed to Jinja Source of the Nile. Dinner and overnight at Gately
Day 12: White Water rafting-Quad biking and transfer to Kampala
After breakfast, drive to Bujagali Falls where White Water Rafters enjoy rides through the Big Grade 5 white water rapids, then head for our starting point for the rafting craze! Spend a half day rafting with lunch on the river Island do 2 hour quad biking and later in the evening, transfer to Entebbe. Dinner and overnight at The Windsor Lake Victoria Hotel
Day 13: Departure day
Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for Flight connections.
Option; time allowing Visit the Uganda Wildlife Education center, take a boat cruise to Ngamba Chimp Island
