6 Days gorilla safari tour – gorillas, wildlife and chimps safari

This 6 days wildlife and gorilla safari in Uganda takes you to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park for gorilla watching and Queen Elizabeth national park for wildlife encounter and chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura gorge.

Day 1: Pick up from a hotel in Kampala OR hotel address in Entebbe near the airport, and drive to Bwindi.

Meet and greet our company representative at the hotel address.  After having your breakfast start your wildlife and gorilla safari in Uganda with a drive to the biologically diverse and unique magnificent green impenetrable rainforest in southwestern Uganda, which sustains almost half of the world’s mountain gorilla population. You will have a stopover in Kayabwe for photographs at the Uganda equator and souvenir shopping accompanied with an enroute lunch in Mbarara town. Proceed to bwindi, the home of gorillas in Uganda. Have dinner and an overnight stay at the booked lodge, Category: (Silverback Lodge – Luxury option), (Buhoma Haven Lodge – Midrange option), (Buhoma Rest Camp – Budget option).

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest.

Today is the highlight of your wildlife and gorilla safari in Uganda! After an early breakfast and briefing at the headquarters in the Bwindi park, set off for the mountain gorilla tracking inside the Bwindi forest. You need to carry drinking water, rain jacket and jungle boots while the rangers will provide you with a walking stick. Gorilla tracking is one of the unique activities you will enjoy while photographing and observing the gorillas. After tracking, come back to the lodge and relax. Should you have the energy this afternoon, go for a village walk and see how Ugandans live in their community homestead. Dinner and overnight at the booked lodge.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national Park.

You will wake up and have morning breakfast, then drive around the Ishasha sector, you will have a chance to see tree climbing lions. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge for dinner and dinner and peaceful overnight at the booked lodge. Accommodation at: booked lodge. Day 4: Morning game drive and Afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel.

At the park, you shall enjoy a game drive towards the Kasenyi plains which may reward you with sightings of the various animals like huge herds of the Ugandan kob, elephants, leopard, lion, buffalos, warthogs and antelope etc. Later after lunch, you will embark on a boat cruise on Kaziga channel. This is very rewarding with the aquatic animals like crocodiles, hippos and many bird species like black bee carmine bee eaters and black bee eaters, Lesser Swamp-Warbler, Striated Heron among others. You will return to the lodge for dinner and peaceful overnight.

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura gorge.

This yet another great primate experience in Queen Elizabeth national park. After morning healthy breakfast, prepare for chimpanzee trekking experience. And later in the afternoon, take a guided nature walk, may be a game viewing drive. You will return to the lodge for dinner and peaceful overnight.

Day 6: Return back to your Hotel in Kampala / drop off at Entebbe airport.

Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe. After morning healthy breakfast, prepare to transfer back to Kampala and en-route lunch. Your driver-guide will drive you to your Hotel in Kampala to end your 6 days wildlife and gorilla safari in Uganda or to Entebbe airport for departure.
