Day 1: Pick-up from Entebbe Airport – Transfer to your hotel

On your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by our company representative. Drive to your booked hotel for briefing about your mountain gorilla tracking and wildlife tour in Uganda and an overnight stay at your booked hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a nature walk tour to Botanical gardens

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park

 After your early morning breakfast, meet your safari driver guide at the reception to start your adventurous road drive to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park across equator. Before getting to the park, have an en-route stop here to witness water experiment showing the movement of forces. Bwindi impenetrable forest national park is a pristine rainforest on the edge of the Albertine Rift Valley, this is the best place in Uganda and Africa for mountain gorilla experience. This park is a home to half of world’s remaining mountain Gorillas. This area is taken to be the Switzerland of East Africa because of its geographical appearance. Check in at your reserved lodge to relax dinner and overnight

Day 3: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park – Morning mountain gorilla tracking – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for Kasoga Experience

Morning breakfast and depart for the morning pre mountain Gorilla tracking briefing about the dos and dot during tracking at the park information center then start your long time awaited adventure “Mountain Gorilla tracking” the time taken during gorillas tracking is not well-known though is estimated to be between 2-8 hours reliant on the movements of the mountain gorilla family you are allocated to. In the course of the mountain gorilla tracking, you will encounter other primates and mammals such as Chimpanzees, black and white colombus monkey, vervet monkey, and many others and your guide will be able to provide information on everything you will encounter. Once you meet the mountain gorillas, you are allowed to spend an hour of enjoying moments with these peaceful and taking photos. Then return to the park information center to your tracking accomplishment certificate, have refreshments, lunch and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park to explore the unique cultural practices from Kasoga community. Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Early Morning game drive – Afternoon Boat cruise – Evening game drive

 Today in the morning, enjoy your coffee and head to the park to start your morning game drive to search for wildlife on Kasenyi track. The common sightings here are; Caped Buffaloes, Elephants, Warthog, Waterbuck, Uganda kob, Lions, Hyena, and so much more including a variety bird species. Retire from your game drive to relax, have lunch and depart for your afternoon adventurous boat safari on the famous Kazinga Channel. The Kazinga Channel contains the highest concentration of hippopotamuses in Africa, big number of Nile crocodiles and it is a glory place for birders to enjoy most to see hundreds and hundreds of birds on the shore of the channel. Also expect to see a number of other big and small mammals on the shores quenching their thirty and swimming such as Elephants, Buffaloes, and Antelopes. After enjoying your adventurous boat safari, have a short break to relax and depart for your evening game drive that will be focusing at searching for the big predators of the park such as Lions, Leopards, Spotted hyenas and others. Day 5: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Morning chimpanzee tracking – Return to Entebbe International Airport / Entebbe Town

Early in the morning, enjoy your warm breakfast and drive to Kalinzu forest reserve for a half day guided chimpanzee tracking walk. This forest is home-based to about 414 species of trees, shrubs and 378 bird species including the Great Blue Turaco, Black and White Cascket, Cuckoos, and Sunbirds plus 6 Species of Primates including the Chimpanzees. After your adventurous chimpanzee tracking safari, return to your lodge to relax, have lunch then prepare for your return to Entebbe international airport to end your mountain gorilla tracking and wildlife tour in Uganda OR you may decide to spend another night in Entebbe.

Bwindi Impenatrable Forest National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is located in the south western side of Uganda at the borders with Democratic Republic of Congo and is next to Virunga National Park at the edge of the Albertine rift. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park seats on area of 340 sq. km of lowland forest and montane and its site which can be accessed on foot. Bwindi national park is a home of 120 mammal species, 230 species of butterflies, 340 species of birds, geckos, chameleons and 30 species of frogs among others.

The park has a forest which has more than 1000 species of plants these include 170 species of trees and 105 species of ferns. Bwindi impenetrable forest national park is a home of a number of primates such us chimpanzees, red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys and  bird species such as grey frowned crane, turaco, hornbills, handsome spur fowl, Shelley’s crimson wing, black bee eater among others.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is also a habitat of over 480 mountain gorillas, the park has got 14 habituated gorilla families i.e. Rushegura gorilla family, Habinyanja gorilla group, Mubare Gorilla family, Bitukura gorilla family among others open for tourism in four gorilla sectors namely Buhoma sector, Ruhija sector, Nkuringo sector and Rushaga sector which are under the management of Uganda wildlife authority.

The park covers an area of 340 sq. km and mountain gorillas and mountain gorillas are the main tourism attractions in the park. Gorilla training is the main tourism activity in Bwindi impenetrable national park with 430 mountain gorillas and that’s a half of the gorilla world’s population and this started in 1993. The park is a rainforest and it rains throughout the year located at the edge of the of the south western part of Uganda

Apart from Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, mountain gorillas can be found in Virunga National Park in Democratic Republic of Congo, Mgahinga National Park in Uganda and Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda. Mountain gorillas during 2006 census the population was 300 gorillas but apparently there are 600 mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The mountain gorillas face habitat loss, diseases and poaching as the great threat. The park has a lot of fruits than Virunga ranges, this is the reason why silver backs are able to climb the trees and feed on epiphytes, foliage, fruits making it the same diet as that of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park chimpanzees. The mountain gorillas are endangered species with estimation of 980 individuals in the world and Bwindi gorillas move more distances per day than Virunga gorillas.

The main activity in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is gorilla trekking, birding, nature walk, see butterflies, primate walk, tree species, mammals, Batwa trails and beautiful sceneries and much more.
