Day 1: Arrive and Transfer to Hotel

Meet and greet at Entebbe International Airport where your remarkable African safari starts by our representative who will warmly welcome you and facilitate seamless arrival formalities. Your will then be transferred to your hotel where you will be briefed about your adventure safari. Depending on the time of arrival you are advised to have money Changed on this day and time allowing you may go for city tour with the help of our driver/guide, visit the shopping Malls around town and craft villages to get items which you may need while in upcountry

Day 2: Transfer to MFNP – Stopover at the Rhino sanctuary

Have breakfast and Drive North to Murchison Falls with a stopover at in Nakasongola Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a one and half opportunity to Track Rhinos on foot, you will Later Have Lunch in a selected Restaurant then Proceed through Masindi to The Park.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Safari to the Water Falls

Arise very early in the morning for your guided game drive on the northern bank of the River Nile in your open-roof vehicle which will give you an excellent opportunity to view and photograph the diverse wildlife. Your guide will help you spot elephant, lion, cape buffalo, Roth child’s giraffe, hartebeest, waterbuck, oribi, bushbuck, bohor reed buck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard.

After lunch, guided return boat cruise upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just few of meters from the ‘Devil’s Cauldron marvel at the schools of hippos, crocodiles and over the 17km stretch you may see elephant, waterbuck and Uganda Kob. This is also the zone of many birds, species like goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork. After taking shorts of the photogenic Murchison Falls, you will continue with a guided top of the falls where you will have the amazing view of the falls! See where the Nile -world’s longest River explodes violently through a narrow cleft in the Rift Valley escarpment to plunge into a frothing pool 43m below. Later, return to your lodge and relax in the evening.

Day 4: Early Transfer to Semiliki National Park via Lake Albert Fishing Village

After Breakfast, you may have an optional 5hour Return Boat Safari to the Delta at an extra fee of $65 per person, where you will mix with a High concentration of Hippos and on a Good Day comes close to the endemic Albertine shoebill stork and lions. You will return to The Lodge to Check Out and Transfer to Semiliki National Park.

Alternatively, After Breakfast transfer to Lake Albert at the Fishing village to see the local methods used for harvesting fish and mix with the Local Communities. have breakfast and Transfer to Semiliki National Park through verdant home steads and tea estates, you Will reach early relax whole afternoon as you wait for your Meals.

Day 5: Morning shoebill Boat Safari – Afternoon walking Safari to the Hot springs

After Breakfast, You will be led to have a morning Boat Safari on Lake Albert where you will come across the elusive shoebill and chanceful You may see it hunt down its Prey in the fridges of the Lake.

Later, Depart early after breakfast for the hot springs tour. Enjoy a full day pursuing the Semiliki Valley Wildlife Reserve; The Park is dominated by the easternmost extension of the great Ituri Forest of the Congo Basin. This is one of Africa’s most ancient and bio-diverse forests; one of the few that survived the last ice age, 12-18,000 years ago. Your guide will point out and explain the park’s diversity of wildlife and flora and fauna. The Sempaya hot springs are Semliki’s most famous attraction. There’s a “male” spring, known as Bintente, measuring 12m in diameter and is set in a lush swampy clearing. The “female” spring Nyasimbi, meaning “the female ancestors”, is a boiling geyser (103°C) which spurts bubbling water and steam up to two meters high – the steam cloud can be seen from as far as 2km away. Local residents used to cook their food in these boiling pools.

You may Crown the day with a visit to the local Batwa community located in Ntandi at an extra fee of $80 per person. The community dancers put on traditional performances for visitors. The visit to the villages has proven to be an interesting cultural experience. The guide will have lunch arranged for you to be served as a picnic while you experience the “Real Africa”.  Return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Boat safari on Kazinga Channel

Have Breakfast and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park following mystical Rwenzori Back drops, you will reach in the afternoon ready for Lunch and relax or you may ask your Safari Guide to Take You Through the Park for a Game Drive

After lunch, have a boat Safari on Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos and this launch/cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing.  The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous, with well over 550 resident species.

Day 7: Morning Game Drive – Transfer to Ishasha Sector for another Game dive at sunset

Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife.  Have an early morning Lion Tracking activities alongside the researchers who will provide you with the depth information about lions and the surrounding, here you will enjoy an opportunity to view the massive Rwenzori as backdrop, which provides excellent chance to spot more lions as well as leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephant, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, topi and bushbuck.

Have Breakfast and Transfer to Ishasha Sector – A sector Characterized by tree climbing lions and other mammals, you will have Lunch and proceed with a sundowner combing all Plains for more wildlife and Birds.

Day 8: Morning Game Drive – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After your early morning breakfast, have a game Drive and pack-up your bags, proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, the drive takes you through the Switzerland of Africa area known as the Kigezi Highlands with its terraced hillside and winding roads to Bwindi impenetrable National Park arriving in the afternoon.

Day 9: Morning Gorilla Tracking Experience – Afternoon Batwa Experience

After an early breakfast depart to the starting point for briefing about your gorilla trekking adventure African safari after which you will be led by experienced gorilla trackers on the slopes of the volcanoes. You will start from the site where the gorillas were encountered the day before and from here the gorilla tracking begins. Although the hike can be physically demanding, the anticipation of the exciting experience ahead is amazing, and the beauty of the gorilla forest and its inhabitants are fascinating. One of Africa’s major highlights is when you encounter these gentle apes. It is a humbling experience to stand just meters from man’s distant cousins as they eat rest, play and bond with their young ones. Follow the mountain gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest, and discover their gorgeous natural habitual and the many species they share it with. You are allowed an hour with the gorillas before finally sloping down back to your lodge. If your trek was relatively short, you may have a guided nature walk around the lodge and the surrounding communities in the evening. Return to the lodge where you will enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers before getting a good night’s rest for tomorrow’s safari adventure.

You may opt for Gorilla Habituation on supplement of $800 per person – here you will be sure of meeting and spending enough time with the Gorillas.

Later, proceed with a Batwa pygmy trail Experience – here we shall experience the culture of the ancient Batwa People who live in these forests, See the forest through the eyes of the first People who have lived here for over 500,000 years! Experience the lives of the Batwa People on the Interactive Batwa Trail in Mgahinga Gorilla Park and learn more about their hunting tricks, blacksmith, making of fire from sticks, herbal collections, weaving of Baskets, making bamboo cups, clothing beyond this generation among other interesting thrilling activities. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Morning Golden Monkey Tracking – Transfer to Volcanoes

After Breakfast, Transfer to Mgahinga forest and through the bamboo thickets you will come face to face with the Golden Monkeys, You may pay an extra fee of about $3 per person to climb a viewing Platform.
Have Breakfast, transfer to Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri – You will reach in Time for your meals and relax whole afternoon.

Day 11: Hike to Diana Fossey Grave – Afternoon Optional Visit to Ibyiwacu Village

After breakfast, Transfer to Volcanoes National Park and Proceed with the trail head to access the karisoke research Camp which is about 10 minutes from the park boundary Trekking to the Dian Fossey’s grave takes about one and half to 2 hour hike which too rewards you with good views of forest hogs, forest elephants, a variety of primates and bird species. This hike is an incredible experience physically, emotionally and intellectually. It is so inspiring to learn about someone who was so dedicated and left a legacy that exists even today. The hike involves moving through the forests and hiking up the slopes and therefore requires some relative degree of fitness and patience. At the site you will find the house from where Dian Fossey was mysteriously murdered in 1985 but the more peaceful is the place where she was buried just next to her favorite gorilla friend, Digit and about 20 other mountain gorillas either killed by poachers or suffered death for other reasons unknown.

After lunch in the Jungle lunch, you may enjoy a hike to Ibyiwacu Community or Village at an extra fee of $20 per person which is a Profit Umbrella that that aims at improving the lives of Poachers or the Community through Community initiatives, supporting community development and livelihood-based projects. Day 12:  Transfer to Nyugwe Forest – Afternoon Canopy walk

Have Breakfast and Transfer to Nyungwe National Park – You will reach in Time for Lunch at The Hotel, Later in The afternoon Later we will drive to Uwinka, the main reception center of the park, and set out for the canopy walk to experience which will give us a different perspective of the park – the Canopy Walkway is a highlight of a Nyungwe Safari and hangs 60 meters above the forest floor between giant trees and towers, this is East Africa’s only Canopy Walkway that provides a stunning view of the park’s amazing wildlife and nature. The Walkway accesses several trails including the famous Igishigishigi trail if one is interested in hiking one! Enjoy epic views of the Nyungwe forest and catch elusive wildlife in the canopies such as monkeys and birds!

Day 13: Chimpanzee Trekking Experience

Take an early morning breakfast then with your packed lunch drive to this park for the starting point of your Chimpanzee trek. Two species of chimpanzee occur in Africa. There is the Bonobo and the Common Chimpanzee Pan troglodytes (often shortened to Chimpanzee, and sometimes referred to as the Robust Chimpanzee). The largest remaining populations occur in central Africa (Gabon, DR Congo and Cameroon). About only 400 individuals, the population in Rwanda is an endangered one. However; it should be mentioned that it is not guaranteed to see the chimps as they are unpredictable and can move long distances in one day. Nyungwe National Park is the largest block of Montane forest in East and Central Africa and it is an incredibly rich area of biodiversity. Later depart for your nature walk visiting Kamiranzovu waterfall. The forest comprises amongst many things at least 200 tree species over 280 bird species and more than 100 different types of colorful butterfly which make it a true feast of the senses for the nature lover. Later return for dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Day 14: Time allowing this Morning enjoy Banana Beer Experience in Musaze – Transfer Akagera National Park

Early morning, we will drive to Musanze to head to the village where you will learn how to grow bananas, their species, ripening process, demonstration of making beer. The banana beer is manufactured from fermentation of mashed bananas and roasted Sorghum flour is added as a source of wild yeast. You will visit different families for historical background of homemade beer and further demonstration. You will end the tour by visiting a local pub where banana beer and other local homemade beer are being served and enjoy interacting with local people.

Later immediately, enjoy a road trip to Akagera NP; driving East of Rwanda you will Have Lunch in a selected Restaurant reaching in the Early Afternoon to Relax.

Day 15: Morning Game Drive and afternoon Boat Safari on River Ihema

Rise a bit early (6:00am) and with your morning cup of coffee, set off for a wonderful morning game drive through the savannah woodlands to have clear glimpse of various wildlife species among which include the hyenas, lions, Impalas, buffaloes, elephants and zebras etc. Return to your lodge midmorning for lunch or continue with a game drive. After a hot lunch and step out for a boat cruise on Lake Ihema for aquatic wildlife viewing like the hippopotami, crocodiles among others

Day 16: Game Drive – City Drive and Genocide Museum, Transfer to Kigali for a Flight Back home

Have Breakfast and enjoy a game Drive enroute to Kigali – Upon arrival, you will visit to the Genocide memorial center in Kigali – The center was officially opened in 2004 to Mark the 10-commemoration of 1994 genocide that was against the Tutsi in Rwanda. The center serves as the final place where masses can flock to grieve for their lost ones, and as for today; it acts as a museum where both locals and international visitors can learn about the history, implementation and consequences of genocide.

Time allowing proceed to visit the oldest Nyamirambo town in Kigali which has a stretched neighborhood found in southwestern corner of Kigali that envelopes diverse behavior with dominancy of Arab – like Culture. It is a huge stretched corner which is sometimes referred to as a gangsters’ Paradise! Characterized with Many Muslim residents, Mosques and unlike other places that close by 8pm with everyone inside their homes, Nyamirambo hustles and rocks late Into the nights! Later Transfer to the Airport to end your remarkable African safari
