Tourists fishing in Lake Mburo are allowed to keep their fish they have caught and take them back home or at the hotel and prepare it. Some lodges have equipment for their visitors who are interested to do sport fishing and in case they do not have fishing gear yet everyone must have his own.

Lake Mburo is the largest lake among the 5 lakes found in Lake Mburo National Park. However the total number of lakes surrounding Lake Mburo sum up to 13 lakes including those outside the park. there is beautiful fauna and flora plus wildlife at the lake shores. Visitors can enjoy a one hour and a half boat cruise as they watch closely crocodiles and hippopotamus with water birds too. Boat cruise costs 15USD only. The boat cruise begins at 8:00am, 10:00 am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm, 4:00pm and at 5:30pm.

Lodges are also available in the park for visitors for example Rwonyo rest camp, eagles nest Mburo, Rwokobo rock, Mburo safari lodges and among others. It will take you 3-4 hours to reach Lake Mburo National Park when coming from Kampala through Masaka.
