Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Kidepo Wildlife Safari

Your safari driver will pick you up from your hotel very early at 6:30 am, brief you about the 7 Days Uganda Adventure Safari, and drive northwards for Kitgum town. Driving from Kampala to Kidepo will take a full day so you will have lunch on your way. You will have several stopovers to take photos and a leg stretch on this long journey drive. The park is less visited because of its distant location. You will have a night at Fugley’s Guesthouse a clean and comfortable facility with good food, it has a swimming pool and an ideal place to have a night before continuing to Kidepo valley national park the next day.

Day 2: Kidepo Adventure safari

After early morning breakfast, you will meet and proceed with your journey to Kidepo valley national park where you will reach in lunchtime hours. The drive to the park takes you through terrain very different from the rest of the country. Check-in at your booked lodge. Relax the whole evening and have dinner as well as an overnight stay.

Day 3: Karamojong culture and community safari

After a delicious breakfast, you will meet your driver to go check out the terrain and wildlife in this very remote national park of Uganda whereby you will go for a fascinating game viewing in the savannah grasslands, hills, small forests, and the dry river bed. While searching for wildlife you will meet buffaloes, lions, warthogs, cheetahs, elephants as well as several birds, plants and trees will stun you as you will wonder how they managed to survive in semi–arid climate.

You will visit the karankorog hot springs while meeting several wild animals along the way. Every game drive will be different from the other although you take the same route twice, there will always be something new to find. You will see a lot of birds, animals and beautiful scenery that’s why we recommend you to move with your camera to take the best shots.

Have lunch at your accommodation and go out for the cultural experience with the Karamojong people’s culture; they are proud of their native culture. Their love for cattle keeping is matched with that of the Maasai in Kenya and Tanzania. The Karamojong live a unique lifestyle and they believe God gave them a right to own all the cattle including those owned by other people, Karamojong believe all are theirs. You will learn the lifestyle, how they prepare food, see them do daily activities, dance their traditional dances and also their love for cattle. Return to the lodge and have dinner as well as an overnight stay.

Day 4: Guided nature walk

Wake up to an early morning breakfast listening to different sounds of birds singing up in the trees. After set out for a guided nature walk where you will experience how it feels to be in the wild surrounded by savannah grasslands, wildlife, and small forests. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon meet your driver for a game drive to explore this wonderful, remote park blessed with wildlife and different bird species. this game drive will allow you to see wildlife up close while in your comfortable safari vehicle.

Day 5:  Transfer to Sipi falls

After delicious morning breakfast you will meet your driver-guide and leave for Sipi falls having lunch on your way and later reach Sipi falls lodge near the gorgeous Sipi falls, the lodge is of high class offering excellent food with breathtaking views of the nearby falls and the rest of the scenery. Dinner and an overnight stay

Day 6: Mountain Elgon (Mountain biking, Guided Nature Walk)

After morning breakfast, meet your driver and drive to mountain Elgon where you will do activities like mountain biking or guided nature walk along the mountain Elgon national park trail per your physical fitness. You can also carry out para-gliding or birding. These activities can be done the entire day as you set out with a picnic lunch which you will enjoy on-mountain Elgon. Mountain Elgon has different vegetation zones which are beautiful and worth viewing. Return to the lodge, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 7: Sipi trail and departure

After morning breakfast, you will go for a morning nature walk to Sipi falls where you will visit some of the caves below and back the falls.
