Day 1: Pick up from Kigali

The first day of our 4 Days Uganda Gorilla safari from Kigali will start from either the airport or your hotel in case you stayed in Kigali. Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

You will wake up very in the morning and have breakfast and get your packed launch and head to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking briefing, briefing is done by the ranger guides who will give you the instructions to follow while in the forest enjoying the gorilla trek. Here, you will also be allocated the gorilla family to trek and that’s why it important that you inform your guide about the interest of the gorilla family that you would like to trek such that you can be considered when allocating the gorilla families. Gorilla family allocation is done basing on your interests, physical fitness, and age, and after all this, you will be transferred or taken to the starting point for your gorilla family. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park may last between 30 minutes three hours and thus you need to prepare for this journey. You will walk majestically within the forest as you encounter different wildlife which will be identified to you by your guide until you reach the habituated gorilla family. You will spend only one hour with the habituated gorilla family as you enjoy the family while observing their activities such as feeding and learn more about these animals including what do they do and what they like. Day 3: Gorilla habituation experience

On the 3rd day of our 4 Day Uganda Gorilla safari from Kigali, you will wake up in the morning and have breakfast, grab your packed lunch, and aging head to the park headquarters for a more length experience of gorilla habituation experience. With gorilla habituation experience, you will spend 4 hours enjoy how the researchers, trackers, and guides train mountain gorilla how to get used to human beings. The activity also starts with a briefing and thereafter you will head to the forest to search for the semi habituated gorilla family. Gorilla habituation experience is more physically demanding since you’re dealing with gorillas that are not yet fully habituated and this may require you to move for long distances. The park boasts over 120 mammal species, 30 species of frogs, and 230 species of butterflies, and over 340 species of birds. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is known for harboring the largest population of the endangered mountain gorillas (480) in the world and thus facilitating activities such as gorilla trekking and gorilla habituation experience

For any visitor to go to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, he or she must obtain the gorilla trekking permit or gorilla habituation experience permit. The gorilla permit in Uganda costs USD700 per person per trek while the gorilla habituation experience costs USD1500 per person per trek. With gorilla habituation experience, you will spend 4 hours observing the endangered mountain gorillas in the world as compared to one hour of normal gorilla trekking.
