Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Pick up from Entebbe / Kampala – Drive to Queen Elizabeth national Park – Visit Katwe salt mining village

In the morning, our company driver guide will meet you at your hotel or residence either in Kampala / Entebbe or Entebbe international airport to brief you on the 4 Days safari to Queen Elizabeth Park and tree climbing lions and then depart to Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda with a stop at Kayabwe equator line where the planet separates in to northern and southern hemisphere to watch water experiments, take some memorial photos, have a cup of coffee to feel a natural aroma in locally made coffee. Later, continue with the tour through the lush green hills and cattle farms with Ankole long horned cattle, have lunch en-route at Igongo cultural museum, tour the museum and learn about the ancient of the western region and how life has been changing overtime. Thereafter, drive straight to Queen Elizabeth national park to check in at your reserved accommodation, relax and later in the evening drive to Katwe salt mining community where you will see the an unusual local methods of extracting salt, how to process it to the consumption stage and what are the challenges. This tour will give you a unique experience to see local at work on the lake, visit the traditional homestead and many other traditional activities. Day 2: Queen Elizabeth national park – Morning wildlife sighting game drive – Boat cruise safari on the Kazinga channel – Evening game drive

After your tasty morning breakfast, drive to the park for an early morning wildlife sighting game drive along the Kasenyi plains to search for the early raisers and predators before they return to their hide-outs like Elephants, Lions, Buffaloes, Warthogs, Hyenas, Leopards, some primate species, Uganda Kobs and other antelopes plus several bird species. The game drive takes about 5 hours and remember to carry binoculars and camera. After the morning game drive, return to the lodge to relax, have lunch and later head to the park for the 2 hours’ afternoon boat cruise safari on the Kazinga channel where you will have a great chance of seeing various aquatic species like hippopotamus, crocodiles, monitor lizards and alongside other land mammals such as elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks among others and bird species on the banks of the channel. The guide on the boat will give you much information about everything that you will encounter which will make your safari so interesting and adventurous. After the boat cruise safari, return to Kasenyi plains for an evening game drive to search for more mammals mostly the predators since they hunt during evening. Return for dinner and overnight

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National park – Drive to Ishasha sector for a game drive to search for the tree Climbing Lions

Today rise up to have breakfast, get all you luggage loaded, check out and then head to the Ishasha sector in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth national park which is a famous home for the tree-climbing lions. You will spend the day searching for the tree-climbing lions and other wild animals such as Elephants, several antelopes, like Topis, bushbucks, Buffaloes and so many more fascinating creatures. Tree climbing lions can only be found in Queen Elizabeth national park of Uganda and Lake Manyara national park of Tanzania. However, Queen Elizabeth national park has the biggest population with four prides and there are higher chances to encounter to spot them in Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park than anywhere on African Safari. Drive to your booked accommodation for dinner and an overnight.
