Meet and greet our company representative and your guide driver at 07:00 and head south west of Rwanda. You will pass through amazing land scape and cultural heritage corridor with a stopover at King Mutara III royal palace to tour a museum and experience the authentic Rwandan culture. Proceed with your journey to the park and check in to your booked lodge, have lunch, relax and get ready for a visit to tea plantations of Gisakura. Have an experience of tea from crop to cup tea before coming back to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trek & Canopy Walk Experience

Wake up very early in the morning and get your packed breakfast before heading to the park for briefing about chimpanzee trek. You will be led by your ranger guide into deep jungles of Ngungwe forest to search for chimps as you enjoy the green nature and spot a number of forest bird species.  Upon meeting the chimpanzees, take photos, see them move freely while playing in the wilderness. Nyungwe forest national park is an ideal place to observe chimps in their natural habitat.

After this primate encounter, return to the lodge for hot lunch and later get transferred to the park headquarters for canopy walk briefing that starts at 14h00. Begin your guided canopy walk at 15h00 to experience the tropical rainforest from a dazzling new perspective on the famous canopy walkway. This canopy walk way hangs 60m above the forest floor and this experience is only done in Nyungwe Rwanda in the entire East African region.

After return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Depart from Nyungwe to Kigali

After breakfast, drive to Kigali city and have lunch at Fusion restaurant. You will then embark on a short city tour to Kigali memorial genocide before a transfer to Kigali international airport to meet your flight to the next destination. The memorial sets out a great history that led to Rwanda’s genocide, displays poignant of victims’ photographs and belongings. Yes; the memorial seems an unusual tourist attraction and can be upsetting but it helps to put into context how and why the genocide happened and also plays an important role in educating Rwanda’s new and future generations about the genocide.
