Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Travel to Murchison falls national park

You will be picked up by your guide from your hotel in Kampala in the morning after breakfast to start your 15 Days  Uganda Wildlife Safari, Chimpanzees and Gorilla Adventure with a transfer to Murchison falls national park. On your way to the park, you will visit the Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino tracking and proceed to Masindi where you will have lunch. proceed to the park hike to the top of the falls where hiking takes you about 45 minutes. When you are at the top of the falls you will witness water forcing itself into a 7-meter narrow gorger that produces a thunderous roar a reason it’s called the most powerful falls in the world. After drive to your lodge check-in, have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Murchison falls national park – game drive and boat cruise

On this day, enjoy morning breakfast at your lodge, meet your driver, and set out for a morning game drive in the largest national park in Uganda with a lot of wildlife such as lions, hippos, buffaloes, leopards, giraffes, topis, Uganda kobs, warthogs as well as different bird species. After the morning game drive, drive back to the lodge and have some lunch. in the afternoon you will have a 3 hours boat cruise on the river Nile where you will see animals like the crocodiles and hippos in the waters and elephants, buffaloes, antelopes on the lake shores drinking water or bathing. The boat cruise will take you to the bottom of the falls where you will get the best views of the spectacular waterfalls. After the boat cruise gets back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale forest national park

Wake up early for breakfast and check out your lodge with a game drive out of the park via the fort portal to Kibale forest. Kibale forest national park is one of the beautiful rainforests in Africa and home to 13 primates and the famous being chimpanzees, it’s one of Uganda’s best places for birders since it’s home to 25 bird species. on your way to the park, you will have great scenic views and smiling people.

In the evening go out for a guided nature walk. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Kibale forest chimpanzee tracking Uganda

Have a morning breakfast head to the park headquarters for a briefing and enter the jungle for chimpanzee tracking.  Today is one of the amazing highlights of your 15 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari, Chimpanzees and Gorilla Adventure! Note that only one hour is given to trekkers when they find the chimpanzees. While trekking chimpanzees’ other primates can be seen like red-tailed monkeys, blue monkeys, l’hoest’s monkeys, black and white monkeys among others, and also mammals like elephants, buffaloes, antelopes can be seen in the forest. Get back to the lodge for lunch. go for Bigodi wetland in the evening where you will see several birds, animals like baboons, bush babies, and monkeys among others. Have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

After morning breakfast, meet your safari driver and set off for Queen Elizabeth national park one of the most visited wildlife national parks in Uganda with over 600 bird species, mammals such as buffaloes, antelopes, elephants among others. On your way, you will enjoy great views of the landscape including Rwenzori ranges. On reaching the park go for a simple game drive where you will see some of the park animals. Dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Game drive and boat cruise

After breakfast set out for a morning game drive through the park where you will have a closer look at different wildlife species such as lions, waterbucks, elephants, antelopes, buffaloes, warthogs, hartebeests, also view different crater lakes. After a game drive, get back to the lodge have some lunch, and prepare for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. During the boat cruise, you will see a lot of crocodiles and hippos, water birds as well as antelopes buffaloes, and elephants on the lake shores. Return have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Game drive and tree climbing lions in Ishasha sector

Wake up early in the morning to breakfast and set out to see animals in the natural habitat, this game drive will take you through Kasenyi plains searching for elephants, buffaloes, leopards, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, warthogs, and different bird species. later drive to the lodge for relaxation and lunch, after lunch drive to Ishasha sector to look for tree-climbing lions and imagine how wonderful it is to watch them on the trees. Drive back to the lodge relax, have dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi forest

On this day, you will wake up to a morning breakfast after which check out of your lodge and meet your driver for a transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest the home of gentle giant mountain gorillas. This journey will take you through the rolling hills of Kigezi and other terraced hills. Have an en-route lunch and proceed with your journey to the park. Upon arrival proceed to your lodge for check-in, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 9: Mountain gorilla tracking – Bwindi

Today is a highlight of your 15 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari, Chimpanzees and Gorilla Adventure! After morning breakfast, get your placed lunch and move to the park headquarters for briefing. After briefing move to the jungle with a ranger guide who knows well about the trails. During trekking, you will find other animal species like primates, primates, butterflies, plants, frogs among others. The trekking experience normally takes 2 to 8 hours since gorillas move from one place to another looking for what to eat and also one hour is guaranteed to stay with these giant apes see them do daily activities and capture the greatest moments with them. After spending time with gorillas, you will trek back to the starting point for your trekking certificate and later to the lodge for relaxation or opt for a guided nature walk or a visit to the Batwa community.

Day 10: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi

Today after morning breakfast you will check out your lodge and drive to Lake Bunyonyi which is Uganda’s deepest lake and a birding site. On your way, you will enjoy eye-catching landscapes like the locally terraced hills where many of the local people do their farming. Upon arrival at the lake, you will proceed to your booked lodge and have an evening relaxation. Dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 11: Lake Bunyonyi

Enjoy your morning breakfast with an amazing view from the surrounding hills, farmlands, trees, and the beautiful rays of the sun in the morning. After meet your driver to take you to the lake for canoeing on the lake which is home to 29 islands with each island having a history of its own. After the boat cruise return to the lodge, have lunch and in the afternoon have a simple walk to the nearby communities or hike up the hills to have a spectacular view of the lake and the surrounding. You can read a book relaxing on the lake shores or swim since the water is bilharzia free and safe for swimming.

Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park – boat cruise

After morning breakfast, continue your 15 Days Uganda Wildlife Safari, Chimpanzees and Gorilla Adventure with a 4 and 30minutes drive to lake Mburo national park one of the smallest national parks in Uganda with an en-route lunch you will be going through beautiful sceneries, plantations, hills, and farms. Lake Mburo is home to the largest population of zebras, also home to impalas, buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks, oribis, and over 330 bird species that reside in the park. When you arrive in the park you will check in your booked lodge after head out for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo where you will get an opportunity to see water animals like the crocodiles and hippos, water birds as well as buffaloes and antelopes on the shores of the lake taking water or bathing.

Day 13: Morning game drive – Drive to Kampala

After very early morning breakfast, check out of the lodge and go for a morning game drive in the park. During the game drive, the driver guide will take you to different parts of the Park and you will be able to see different animals among which include zebras, topi, impala, giraffes, warthogs, cattle, waterbucks, and different bird species. you will later check out the lodge and start with your journey to Kampala with an en-route lunch and a stopover at the equator for photos and souvenirs from gift shops. Upon arrival in Kampala, you will proceed to the jinja found in eastern Uganda and a place to find the source of the Nile. Arrive in the evening check-in your lodge, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 14: White water rafting and discovering the Nile

Have an early morning breakfast and meet your guide for the day’s activity. The source of the Nile is in jinja where it starts its way through different African activities. Your safari driver will take you to the starting points as you discover the Nile. You will go on a boat cruise to the source of the Nile. After the boat cruise, you will have half-day rafting on the Nile waters which is an adventure and unforgettable experience. Drive back to the lodge have some lunch and you can spend the rest of the day swimming or doing other optional activities like quad biking or horse riding.

Day 15: Return to Kampala
