Murchison falls national park entrance fees rates: Murchison falls is the largest national park in Uganda gazette as a game reserve in 1926 and later officially opened as a national park in 1952. It’s found in north western Uganda sharing districts of Masindi, Bulisa, Nyowa, Kiryandongo covers an area of 3893 square kilometers with 76 species of mammals and over 451 bird species.

Entrance fees to Murchison Falls National Park are fees paid by a traveler before accessing the national park in order to enjoy it activities. These fees are put by Uganda Wildlife Authority and revised after years, it’s this same body that manages and governs all national parks in Uganda. It takes you 3-4 hours to reach this park from Kampala

Murchison falls national park offers different activities to tourists which include hiking to the top of the falls, game drive both night and day, sports fishing, white water rafting, bird watching and launch cruise to the bottom of the falls. The following are charges charged to each and every person accessing Murchison Falls National Park and note that entrance fees are paid separately from activity charges. And these fees are charged basing on days, age and the visitors residence.

Foreign nonresidents’ adults are expected to pay USD40 and children USD 20.Foreign residents of Uganda adults pay USD 30 and children below 15 years pay USD 10 per head per day.

East African citizens are supposed to pay UGX 15000 and children pay UGX 5000 per child per day but for education purposes Ugandan pupils and students pay 3000 UGX, Uganda wildlife clubs 2000 UGX and Uganda tertiary institutions and universities 5000 UGX.

Murchison Falls National Park Entrance fee for vehicles

This depends on which kind of car you are using, size and time to spend in the park.

Salon cars, foreign nonresidents are charged USD 40 per day, foreign residents of Uganda pay USD 5and registered vehicles for east African community pay UGX20000. Mini busses, foreign nonresidents are expected to pay USD 50 while foreign residents of Uganda pay USD 10 to enter Murchison falls national park and East African community members are charged 30,000 for parking their vehicles. For Motor cycles, foreign nonresidents pay USD 30, foreign residents of Uganda pay USD 5 and East African citizens pay UGX 10,000 per day. For buses and Lorries, foreign nonresidents of Uganda pay USD 150 for parking fees, foreign residents USD75 and East African members pay UGX 150000. School buses, foreign residents pay USD 25 and East African residents UGX 50,000. Helicopters, Foreign nonresidents pay USD 100, foreign residents USD 125 and East African citizens UGX 120,000
