Buhoro trail is among the 13 hiking trails in Nyungwe forest national park and it gives you a big opportunity to explore more about Nyungwe forest national park as well as encountering various tree species, bird species and others. The Buhoro trail is the one of shortest trails in the Forest and covering 2.5 kilometers long which takes about 2 hours to complete the hike. This trail gives a tourist a chance to see some of the outstanding residents in the Nyungwe forest national park such as Turaco like the Great blue Turaco and black-billed Turaco and many more.

How to reach Nyungwe Forest National Park

The park is found in southwestern parts of Rwanda on the border of Burundi, Nyungwe forest national park is covering 225 kilometers and it takes 4-5 hours’ drive Kigali city to the park. This park can be accessed on both road and air transport.

By Road, You can use public or private means that start from Kigali to Uwinka through different towns such as Nyamagabe, Huye, Nyanza, and Muhanga or you can use flights from Kigali city to kamambe airport which is just 32 kilometers from one and only Nyungwe house.
