The gorilla permit for gorilla trekking in Uganda costs 700USD and you will reach Bwindi using both Entebbe and also Kigali. It will take you 5 hours when coming from Kigali and only 9 hours while coming Entebbe.

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Mgahinga National Park is known to have only one family and it is also the smallest national park found in Uganda. Many people love to visit Bwindi thus making this place less crowded. This park offers golden monkey experience which is not found anywhere else in the other national parks of Uganda.

As it is with Bwindi, the park can be reached from Entebbe and Kigali. The gorilla permit also costs USD 700.

Virunga National Park

Virunga National Park is also a place you will can do your gorilla trekking safari. The park is found in DRC close to Rwanda – Congo border.

As it is with Mgahinga and Bwindi National parks, you can also reach the park by using the Kigali route and it is the most recommendable one.

It will take 4 hours to reach the park when coming from Kigali. A gorilla permit in DRC is purchased at USD 400 hence making it the cheapest gorilla destination.

Volcanoes National Park

Volcanoes National Park is Rwanda’s oldest and biggest park in Africa and among the best places to see gorillas in Africa. It is where the conservation of gorillas in Africa emerged from. Gorilla research has been done and it was discovered that this is the best place for gorilla trekking.

It will take you 2 hours to reach the park from Rwanda’s capital city Kigali and this makes your trip easier since you will arrive with and early morning flight and have a full day of the trek.

If you love a place to reach faster, this is also a good place for you. A gorilla permit costs USD 1500.
