Detailed itinerary 

Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park

After your early morning breakfast, our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel and brief you shortly about your 4 days safari. After you will drive to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park situated in southwestern Uganda a home to more than half of the total remaining population of rare mountain gorillas. Along the way, you will have a stopover at the equator for some photos and souvenirs. You will have a stopover at the Igongo cultural center in Mbarara for lunch and alter proceed to Bwindi national park where you will arrive in the evening. You will proceed and check in your lodge to have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking – Bwindi impenetrable forest

After early morning breakfast, you will meet your driver-guide with your packed lunch and head to the park headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking in the park. After the briefing, the park rangers will group you into 8 and give you a habituated gorilla family to trek. A ranger guide will lead you into the forest in search f these gentle apes. during gorilla trekking you will come across different park animals but meeting mountain gorillas will be a dream come true. You will be given a maximum of one hour to stay with them learn about their behaviors, watch the young ones play, mothers breastfeed, hunt, patrol and make nests. Take photos and record moments using a flash-less camera. Later trek back to the starting point, you’re your gorilla trekking certificate, and meet your driver for a transfer back to the lodge.

In the afternoon you can spend some time at the lodge relaxing or take an optional community walk to Batwa group of people giving you a chance to interact with these people, learn how they live and also watch them do their traditional dances, songs, and poems. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale forest national park

After a relaxed morning breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and start on your journey to Kibale forest national park. On your way to Kibale forest national park, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery, landscape, plantations, smiling people, and homesteads. Upon arrival at Kibale forest national park, you will proceed to your lodge and check-in, have dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale forest and departure

After morning breakfast, you will meet your driver guide to transfer you to the park headquarters for a chimpanzee trekking briefing. During the briefing, you will be told about the dos and don’ts during chimpanzee trekking. After the briefing, you will be grouped and a ranger guide will lead you into the forest to look for chimpanzees. During the chimpanzee trekking, you will have an opportunity to see different bird species and other primates such as l’hoests monkeys, vervet monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, olive baboons, black and white colobus, vert monkeys, and much more. On finding chimpanzees, you will be given a maximum of one hour to spend time with these primates as you will watch them jump from one tree brunches to another, watch them feed, hunt, play, and make nests. You will take photos and record moments using a flash-less camera.

After trekking chimpanzees, you will trek back to the starting point and meet your driver back to the lodge for lunch. in the afternoon you will check out the lodge and meet your driver for a transfer back to Kampala.
