Day 1: Kampala-Kasese

Arrival Entebbe airport by morning flight, you will be picked up from airport to start your 3 Day short Rwenzori hiking safari to Kasese. The drive will take you approximately 8 hours. Day 2:  Nyakalengija 1600m – Nyabitaba Hut 2650m

You will start with the briefing from the guides at the park headquarter at Nyakalengija (1.646m), with the possibility of hiring Equipment. This hike will take you through the homes of the Bakonjo and plantations. Through Mobuka River after crossing the Mahoma River, you will reach elephant grass and garden plots. Continue with the trail take you through podorcarpus forest until to Nyabitaba hut which is stands at an elevation of 2.652 meters, and this the point for the day. It takes 5-6 hours. From here, you can face on the North the portal peaks which is at an altitude of 4.62 and in front Mount Kyniangoma. On this day, you can see the Rwenzori Turaco, the chimpanzees and monkeys.

Day 3: Descend Nyabitaba Hut-Nyakalengija and return to Entebbe airport.

Nyabitaba Hut to the Nyakalengija road head is bout 2-3 hours. Slope steeply off the ridge and notice enter the warm rainforest. You will see the monkeys and tropical forest birds. Guests will be picked back to Entebbe to end their 3 days short Rwenzori hiking tour with lunch on the way for either return flight.
