This 3 days safari to Queen Elizabeth national park takes you to the most beautiful, second biggest and one of the Uganda’s most visited national parks. Queen Elizabeth National Park owns unmatched beautiful crater lakes, the famous Kazinga channel, forested Gorges and Savannah plains. It’s a home to 95 wildlife mammals including; Lions, Leopards, Spotted hyenas, Common warthogs, several Antelope species among others and 600 recorded bird species. Detailed itinerary

Day 1; Pick up from Kampala / Entebbe – Driver to Queen Elizabeth National Park – Visit Katwe salt mining community (Travel Time: 7 Hours)

On this day, you will be pickup from your hotel / residence in Kampala or Entebbe at exactly 7:00 am to start the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On your way to Queen Elizabeth national park with a stopover at the Kayabwe Equator landmark to spot where the two hemispheres of the planet divides, watch the water experiments which shows how forces move at the center of the planet,  take some memorial pictures, enjoy a cup of coffee to feel the taste of locally made coffee powder and then proceed with the drive through Kiruhura where you may sight some zebras, impalas & lots of crested cranes from Lake Mburo National Park that is situated along the Kampala-Mbarara road, have another stop at Igongo cultural museum to have lunch, tour the museum and later continue with your drive through Ankole homesteads, beautiful tea estates, views of the grassy hills and crater lakes. Later, check in at your reserved accommodation to freshen yourself and then visit Katwe salt mining community where you will interact with the local people to show you how they extract salt from the Lake and purify it up to when is ready to be used. Dinner and an overnight

Day 2: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Early morning wildlife sighting game drive – afternoon Boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel – Evening game drive

Wake up early morning to have breakfast and drive to the park for the wildlife sighting game drive by 6:30 am to have a chance to meet the nocturnal and hunters these include; Leopard, Lions, spotted hyenas, Civet, Genet, Carvel cat among others before they return to their hideouts. During your early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park, it is a guarantee to see Elephants, herds of caped buffaloes, several Antelope species like; Uganda Kobs, waterbucks etc, several warthogs and some primates like olive baboons, vervet monkeys among others plus lots of birds. After more than 5 hours of the morning wildlife sighting game drive return to your accommodation for lunch, relax and Later, set off for the 2 hours boat cruise safari along the Kazinga Channel for a great opportunity to see lots of wildlife up close to your boat such as hippopotamuses, huge Nile crocodiles, buffaloes at the shores of the channel, monitor lizards, elephants, and some antelopes swimming and drinking water plus several bird species including pied and malachite kingfishers, saddle billed stork, cormorants, pink backed pelicans, and many others. If you are a bird love, this is the best place to spot several bird species of the park.

After your boat cruise safari at 5:00 pm, you will return to Kasenyi plains to search for more mammals mostly looking for the big cats / predators of the park such as Lions, Spotted hyenas, Leopard and others since they are so active during evening hours. Drive back to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight.

Day 3; Queen Elizabeth national park – Morning wildlife sighting game drive – Return to Kampala / Entebbe (Travel Time: 8 Hours)

Wake up to have breakfast, have all your luggage packed in the vehicle, check out and drive to the park for another game drive to look out for more wildlife species and this may give a chance to encounter those species that you would have missed during your previous game drives. Later, embark on your drive back to your residence / hotel in Kampala / Entebbe or Entebbe international airport. Your return drive will be via Kasese and Fort portal to stand a chance to view the mountain Rwenzori ranges, beautiful tea plantations and explore other parts of the country. You will have your lunch in Fort portal town and thereafter proceed with your drive straight to Kampala or Entebbe. This will be the end of this 3 days safari to Queen Elizabeth national park.
