Game viewing

Ngorongoro conservation area is one of the greatest destinations in Tanzania for game viewing. The Park is home to over 115 mammal species that can easily be seen during the game drive and these include lions, elephants, leopards, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, spotted hyenas, elands, kobs, jackals, crocodiles, hippos, and gazelles among others. The game drives in the Ngorongoro conservation area can be best done during the morning hours where you get an opportunity to see nocturnal animals.

Bird watching

Ngorongoro conservation area is one of the best birding places in Tanzania. The Park is a home to 270 bird species and the birds to look out for in this place include ostriches, grey crowned crane, kori bustards, black kite, rufous chatterer, black-winged lapwing, lesser flamingo, red and yellow barbet, Egyptian vulture, greater flamingo, Speke’s weaver, white-naped raven, and golden-winged sunbirds among others.
