Day 1: Pick up from Kampala city or Entebbe airport – Transfer to Mgahinga gorilla national park

On this first day of your 4 Days Uganda Gorilla and Sabinyo volcano hiking safari, early in the morning (0600 am) after having breakfast, or on your arrival at Entebbe International airport with early morning plane latest (1000 am), you will be met by your allocated safari guide for a meet and greet, a short briefing on your 4 Days Uganda Gorilla and Sabinyo volcano hiking safari and thereafter, start your journey to Mgahinga gorilla national park for mountain gorilla trekking and Mount Sabinyo volcano hiking. Day 2: Mgahinga gorilla national park – Mountain gorilla trekking safari – Evening boat canoeing

After being served breakfast (0600 am) have your packed lunch, drinking water and all your required mountain gorilla trekking gears we recommended to you search as light but long sleeved attire, waterproof hiking shoes, a cap, gloves and then meet your safari guide to transfer to the park information center to join other guests to be briefed by the safari rangers on the dos and don’ts during mountain gorillas trekking, what to expect during mountain gorilla trekking and how to behave in the presence of the magical mountain gorillas. After the pre-gorilla trekking, start your guided forest walk to search for the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat in Mgahinga gorilla national park. While looking of their mountain gorillas, you may spot other wildlife species like black and white colobus monkeys, golden monkeys, bush pigs, many bird species among others and your ranger guide will give information about everything that you will meet during mountain gorilla trekking which will make your 4 Days Uganda Gorilla and Sabinyo volcano hiking safari so adventurous and memorable.

The time spent before meeting the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat is not known but it may take between 45 minutes to 4 hours depending on the movements of the gorillas family you are tracking and your walking spend. When you meet your allocated gorilla family, you will stay with them for maximum of one hour which will enable you to know much about them, seeing them carrying out their daily activities like feeding, young ones playing and many others. During your stay with the mountain gorillas, you will be free to take as many photos as you would want so, your camera has to be on standby such that you do not miss any moment uncaptured to keep your great memories with mountain gorillas. Also, you will be free to ask as many questions as you would want about the mountain gorillas and the forest at large.  After spend an hour with the mountain gorillas, return to the park starting point to pick your tracking certificate, have some refreshments, meet your safari guide and drive back to your lodge to have full lunch, freshen yourself, relax for some time and later early evening go for an evening boat canoeing where you spot several water birds and relax with the cool breezes from the lake. Day 3: Mgahinga gorilla national park – Sabinyo Volcano hiking – Spend your evening relaxing

Wake very early in the morning to have breakfast, pack enough drinking water that will keep you hydrated, and have your packed lunchbox with all your mountain hiking gears, meet your safari guide and transfer to Ntebeko park meeting point for the hikers of Mount Sabinyo in Mgahinga gorilla national for the pre-mount Sabinyo hiking briefing, get well dressed in the appropriate hiking gears and then begin the hiking at early as 08:00 am. Mount Sabinyo hiking takes approximately 8 hours depending on your physical fitness and hiking spend, 4 hours are used to ascend and 4 hours are used to descend, to keep your body well hydrated, you have to carry enough drinking water and snacks. Mount Sabinyo hiking will take you through variety of vegetation covers such as bamboo forest zone, sub-alpine zone, and sharp ridges where you may have an opportunity to spot plenty of wildlife species such as golden monkeys, mountain gorillas, forest elephants, and a lot of birds and your guide will keep on giving you information about everything you will encounter. Day 4: Mgahinga gorilla national park – Visit Lake Bunyonyi for boat canoeing – Drive back to Kampala / Entebbe international airport

Wake very early to have breakfast, have all your luggage packed in the vehicle, check out and start your drive back to your residence in Kampala or to Entebbe international airport to prepare for your retrun flight. Before arriving Kampala or Entebbe international airport, you will visit Lake Bunyonyi the deepest and one of the most beautiful lakes in Uganda. Your tour to Lake Bunyonyi will be made up a morning boat canoeing on Lake Bunyonyi to visit some of its’ beautiful islands such as the Akampene island also known as “the punishment island” which was used by the Kiga people to punish their girls who found pregnant before marriage by isolating them there to death. After the boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi, proceed with your journey to Kampala or Entebbe with a stopover at Igongo cultural center in Mbarara city for lunch, stretch your muscles and proceed with your journey to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe international airport to prepare for your return flight where you will arrive in the evening.
