Day 1: Pick up from your place of residence / Entebbe international airport – Drive to Mgahinga gorilla National Park

Early in the morning a safari guide from Africa Adventure Vacations Ltd will meet you at your place of residence / Entebbe international airport for meet and greet, brief you about your 3 Days Mgahinga gorilla trekking safari and then start your journey to Mgahinga gorilla national park. On your way to Mgahinga gorilla national park, you will have a stopover Kayabwe Equator line to see water experiment which shows the movement forces on both sides of the planet, take some memorial photos and then proceed with your journey to Igongo Cultural Center to have lunch, tour around the museum and later proceed to Mgahinga gorilla National Park through the Kigazi highlands popularly known as the Switzerland of Africa due to its’ breathtaking views made of terraced and forested hills. The journey from Kampala / Entebbe in international airport to Mgahinga gorilla National Park is approximately 540kms which is about 9-10 hours’ drive. On arrival at the park, drive straight to your lodge to check in and spend your evening relaxing, dinner and an overnight.

Day 2: Mgahinga gorilla national park – Mountain gorilla trekking – Evening boat canoeing on Lake Mutanda

Wake up very early in the morning to enjoy your delicious breakfast, have your packed snacks, meet your safari guide and drive to the park information center to meet other guests for briefing about the guidelines to follow during the forest walk while looking for the mountain gorillas. Later, start the forest walk to lookout for the magical mountain gorillas in their natural habitats the wildlife experience that is never forgettable to anyone who has ever done it. While looking for the mountain gorillas, you may have a chance to see other wildlife species in Mgahinga gorilla national park such as the golden monkeys, forest elephants and several bird species which will make your walk so amazing. The time spent while looking for the endangered mountain gorillas is not known but expected to between 2-6 hours depending on your speed of hiking and location of mountain gorillas. Once you encounter them, you will stay with them for a maximum of 1 hour of magical encounter with these great apes and will be free to take as many photos as you would want, your ranger guide will tell everything about them like, explore their behaviors and body gestures. After spending an hour with the magical mountain gorillas, return to the park starting point to get your certificate of recognition for your support towards the conservation of the endangered mountain gorillas, relax for few minutes and then drive back to you lodge to have lunch, freshen yourself and later in the evening go for an evening boat canoeing on Lake Mutanda.
