Day 2: Mgahinga Gorilla national park – Mountain gorilla trekking – Return to Kampala/Entebbe airport

Start the day with a heavy breakfast at the lodge (by 06:00h), get your luggage packed in the vehicle, have your packed lunch then drive to the park information headquarters to be briefed on guidelines to follow, about the gorilla groups in Mgahinga, what you need to have, what to expect, and how to act while with the gorillas. Later start your day “great wildlife adventure” Mountain gorilla trekking walk through the forest. During mountain gorilla trekking expect to other primates, several bird species and some other mammals along the way, the trek will take you through thick bamboo forests in areas of higher altitude than normal therefore, certain level of physical fitness and determination is required to be successful. The time take while looking for the endangered mountain gorillas is not known but expected to be between 2 -6 hours depending on the location and movement of your allocated gorilla family. Once you encounter your allocated gorilla family, you will have a maximum of 1 hour to stay with them while enjoying the huge peaceful Silverback, dramatic babies if the group has some, and moves of every member like the mothers breastfeeding or grooming their youngsters, the juveniles member also tend to be playful and tend to climb trees more often.
