This 2 days Uganda wildlife safari takes you to the Uganda’s smallest savannah National Park in Lake Mburo National Park found in western Uganda across the Equator imaginary line which divides the world in to 2 hemispheres. The park is situated approximately 240km (by road) which takes about 4 hours to drive to the Park from Kampala. Lake Mburo National Park is home to about 68 mammal species such as the newly introduced Giraffes, highest concentration of zebras, Caped buffaloes, Impalas, Elands, Topis, Hippopotamuses, Leopards, Spotted hyenas, Warthogs among others as well as various bird species. Lake Mburo national park also has the breathtaking sceneries that are made of rolling hills, seasonal swamps to lakes and the lush forests to the Savannah grasslands. Lake Mburo national Park sports a number of tourism activities such as boat cruise safari on Lake Mburo, wildlife sighting game drives, guided nature walks, horseback riding, bike riding safaris and bird watching safaris. Day 1: Pick up from Kampala / Entebbe – Transfer to Lake Mburo – Afternoon boat cruise – Evening and Night wildlife sighting game drive

On this day, you will be met by our safari guide at your hotel / resident in Kampala or Entebbe for meet and greet, be briefed on your 2 Days Lake Mburo National Park Safari and then embark on your drive to Lake Mburo at exactly 6am. You will have a stopover at the Kayabwe equator to experience the water experiments that carried out on both sides of the equator line (Northern and Southern hemispheres) and the line of equator which shows the difference in the movement forces on each side of the planet. After the experiment, take some memorial photos while at this international landmark, visit craft shops, have a cup of coffee to feel a nature aroma of the Ugandan locally made coffee and later proceed with your journey to Lake Mburo national park through the farms of Ankole Long-Horned Cattle also known as (inyambo).

On your arrival at the park, drive to check in at your booked lodge, have lunch and later drive to Lake Mburo for the afternoon boat cruise where you will an opportunity to spot several water mammals and birds such numerous Hippopotamuses, Nile Crocodiles and some other land mammals when they have come to drink water plus water bird species such as African fish eagles, king fishers, the rare African finfoot and hammerkops. Boat cruise in Lake Mburo national park is one of the most rewarding activity and highlight activities that shouldn’t be missed. After the boat cruise, embark on your evening wildlife sighting game drive to encounter mammals in the park such as the beautiful Zebras, Giraffes, Impalas, Elands, Topis, other species of Antelopes, some primates like Olive baboons, Warthogs, Caped buffaloes and many others. Your safari guide will help you to spot many species. Later late evening at 7 pm, go for another experience of the night wildlife sighting game which boosts chance of spot nocturnal species of the park such as the spotted hyenas, Leopards, Civet, African rock python, Porcupine, Bush babies among others,. The night game drive will also give you an opportunity to how other mammals like Buffaloes, Zebras among others spend their night.  Drive back to your accommodation to be served dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Lake Mburo National Park – Morning horseback riding in the jungle – Game drive – Drive back to Kampala / Entebbe

Rise up very in the morning to be served breakfast, leave the lodge and go for 2 hours’ horseback riding safari in the wilderness.  Horseback riding safari in Lake Mburo national park is one of the most amazing activity which gives an outstanding experience to the visitors to view wildlife and do a nature walk while on top of a horse. During horseback riding safari in Lake Mburo national park, During horseback riding safari in Lake Mburo national park, you will get a chance to view animals like Zebras, Impalas from a close range without them running away, explore the entire animal hide out in the park even to the areas which are not accessible by the vehicles and it is the most eco-friendly way of exploring the park since horses do not cause noise and pollutions like an engine of a safari vehicle that will make you really feel part of nature. During horseback riding, you may have a chance to spot the shyest animals like Elands and others species like Warthog, Impala, Bushbuck, Buffaloes, Waterbuck and Zebras.
