Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe and Transfer to Kampala

Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be picked up by a driver guide from Africa adventure vacations who will brief you about your 11 days Uganda adventure trip and transfer you to your hotel where you will have dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls national park – Ziwa rhino sanctuary

Have a morning breakfast and start on your journey northwestwards to Murchison falls national park with a stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary which is the only place you can meet rhinos and track them for 1.5 hours.

Later proceed with your journey and have lunch in Masindi and proceed with your journey to the park which harbors 451 bird species and 76 mammals with a total area of 3,840 sq. km upon arrival at the park, check-in your booked lodge, relax with a delicious dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Game drive and launch cruise on the Nile

Wake up to a cup of coffee and set out for a game drive through the park most especially the Nyamisika plateau where a lot of animals can be seen such as leopards, giraffes, lions, buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks, bush bucks, Uganda kobs among others.

Drive back to the lodge for relaxation and lunch as you get ready for an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile, the Nile divides the park into southern and northern banks. On the boat cruise, you will see animals such as hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and different bird species such as kingfishers, pelican, and the rare shoebill. The boat will take and leave you at the bottom of the falls here you will have enough pictures after which hike to the top of the falls and enjoy the thunderous roars of the waterfalls as they make their way through a 7 m gorge and falling 43 m below to meet the Victoria Nile. Later you will meet your driver to transfer you back to the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

On the days of your safari, get on the road for a 9 hours’ drive to queen Elizabeth national park one of the most visited national parks in Uganda passing through Fort Portal and having lunch there. The park is home to over 600 bird species and good for game viewing since several wild animals live here such as elephants, lions, tee climbing lions, buffaloes, warthogs, forest hogs, waterbucks among others. On arrival at Queen Elizabeth national park drive-through and check-in your booked lodge, relax, have dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Game drive and launch cruise Kazinga channel

Have a morning breakfast and set out for a game drive to look for animals like the leopards, waterbucks, lions, warthogs, forest hogs, leopards, buffaloes, topis, and others. Head back to the lodge, relax and have lunch after which in the afternoon you will go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel for 2 hours. While on a boat cruise you will see animals such as hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and birds.

Day 6: Lion tracking in Ishasha to Bwindi forest

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to the Ishasha sector of the park for lion tracking. You will get an opportunity to see tree climbing lions resting on big tree branches, other park animals like the antelopes, buffaloes, lions, and different bird species. later drive to Bwindi with a stopover for lunch and on arrival to the park, you will check in your booked lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi

Today is the main highlight of your 11 days Uganda adventure trip! Wake up very early in the morning for breakfast and packed lunch after meet your driver to take you to the park headquarters to meet other trackers for a briefing about the dos and dints of trekking gorillas in Bwindi forest national park. After the briefing follows your ranger guide into the jungle and start looking for these giant apes, after 2 to 8 hours you will meet the gorillas and you will be given an hour to be near them, learn about their behaviors, watch them do daily activities, take photos and record moments. You will later trek back to the starting point, meet our driver-guide, and drive back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 8: Drive to lake Bunyonyi

After morning breakfast, meet your drive and head to Lake Bunyonyi Uganda’s deepest lake famous for its 29 islands in the water and the surrounding terraced hills, the lake is safe for swimming because it’s bilharzia-free. Upon arrival at lake Bunyonyi, you will go for a boat cruise on the lake where you will meet a lot of birds and also some of the 29 islands among which include Akampene where girls who got pregnant before marriage were taken to starve and die. later check in your lodge, have lunch and in the afternoon take a community walk to the nearby area where you will enjoy traditional dances from the Bakiga.

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo

After early morning breakfast, meat your drive and drive to Lake Mburo national park, one of the smallest national parks covering an area of 317 q. km. lake Mburo national park is home to zebras, warthogs, oribis, reed bucks, and different bird species. on your way to the park, you will have sights of rolling terraced hills, homesteads, plantations and have a stopover in Mbarara for lunch. after you will proceed with your journey to the park and reach in the afternoon. You will check in your booked lodge and head out for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo where you will see water animals like the crocodiles and hippos, water birds, surrounding hills, and lakes. Later drive back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 10: Morning game drive and transfer to Kampala
