The chattered flights are based at Entebbe/Kajjansi airfield and from here you will travel to Kasese Airstrip from where you will be picked from the airfield and then head to your lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park that takes you approximately 30 to 40 minutes depending on the distance of the lodge where you have booked and you will be staying. For you to get to Queen Elizabeth national park by air, you will have to fly to the Mweya airstrip or Kasese airstrip or sometimes to Kihihi or Nyakisarara airstrip. The route and the air strict to land at depends on the routing time table of the airline on your travel dates. However, the shortest route is to fly to Myeya/Kasese airstrip and it is advisable that whoever your booking with any airline, you request it to fly you to either of the above airstrips. Immediately, you land at these airfields you will need to have a transfer to your lodge. At Mweya airstrip, it’s a walkable distance to reach lodges built at Mweya peninsular. The airstrip /airport transfer will take about 10 to 40n minutes depending on your lodge location. The midmorning flight departs Entebbe international airport to Queen Elizabeth national park at 10:15 am and arrives at Kasese/Mweya Airstrip at 12:05 pm, then departs Kasese/Mweya airstrip at 12:20 pm and lands back at Entebbe at 13:30.
It is important to note that this midmorning domestic flight to queen Elizabeth national park runs daily except in the low season months of April, May, and November.
