Park entrance fees to Queen Elizabeth national park: Queen Elizabeth national park is one of the oldest national parks in Uganda. First gazetted as Kazinga channel in 1952 the park was later renamed to Queen Elizabeth national park in 1954 after the 11th Queen of Britain. Queen Elizabeth National park is a home of 95 mammals which include the famous climbing lions of Ishasha sector and over 600 bird species and is located in southwestern Uganda in Kamwenge, Rubirizi, Rukungiri, and Kasese districts on an area of 1978 sq. km

Park entry fees are regulated by the Uganda wildlife authority and do not guarantee all activities in the park for they only allow you to access the protected area.  Just like any other park in Uganda, there is a fee you pay as the entrance to Queen Elizabeth national park. And this money is called conservation fee because it is used to support conservation projects putting up by the governing body of all protected areas in Uganda.

Entrance permits to the park are given at every entrance gate and before getting entrance permission you must submit a valid identification card to know your status if you are a foreigner, foreign nonresident, or East African citizen and take note foreign residents of Uganda must possess a valid one-year work permit., foreigners passport for verification while east African citizens should present their national identity cards to get entry permits to queen Elizabeth national parks.

Queen Elizabeth national park entrance fee is USD40 for foreign residents, USD30 for foreign nonresidents of Uganda while East African citizens pay UGX 20000. The park entrance fees are valid for a single day that is 24 hours and park entrance fees are not levied on children below 15 years. Only foreign residents and members of the East African community that is Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi are allowed to pay annual fees which work for a year.

The following are entry fees to Queen Elizabeth national park

Foreign residents of Uganda pay USD350, East African citizens pay UGX 150000, a couple of foreign residents pay USD500 and a couple of east African community pay UGX 2000 as annual park fee to queen Elizabeth national park

A foreign resident’s family with a maximum of four kids is supposed to pay USD700 and a family of east African citizens is entitled to pay the park entry fee of UGX300000. Annual park entry fees for corporate east African citizen’s pay 2.5 million Uganda shillings and corporate foreign residents pay USD 1500

Safari guides and taxi drivers pay an annual park entrance fee of UGX100000 and must be citizens of the East African community. Park entry fees to queen Elizabeth National Park are also motor engines that enter the park.

Motorcycles are charged USD30 for foreign residents and UGX 10000 for east African citizens, saloon cars for foreign residents are charged USD40 and east African citizens pay UGX 20000, minibuses of foreign residents pay USD50 and east African citizens are charged 30000UGX, pickups and 4WD cars are charged USD50 for foreign residents while UGX 30000 is paid by east African citizens and lastly school buses are charged UGX 50000.

Air crafts

Helicopters are charged USD 100 for foreign residents and UGX 250000 for east African citizens, an A4  to 21 and above aircraft is charged USD50 for foreign residents and UGX 120000 for east African citizens, and take note parking fees for aircraft per day is USD 8 for foreign residents and UGX 5000 for citizens of east Africa.
