What is the best time to visit Virunga National Park?

Virunga National Park is found in the tropical rain forests influencing the climate and weather in and around the park. The park is open for visitation throughout the year. The dry season is the best time for gorilla trekking and therefore visitors will need to visit the park in February, June July, August, and September, and then December which is referred to as the dry season and thus the best time for gorilla trekking. The dry months ensure that the visitors enjoy the dry trails and they can easily sight mountain gorillas in Virunga National Park.

Accommodation in Virunga National Park ranges from budget, Midrange, and luxury lodges.
