Gorilla trekking permits in Rwanda are identifications issued by Rwanda development board in form of cards to allow tourists access volcanoes national park and visit the endangered mountain gorillas. These cards indicated that one has been given authority to visit a gorilla national park in Rwanda.

Gorilla trekking in Rwanda is only carried out in volcanoes national park famously known for endangered mountain gorillas. The park is also known for 5 virunga mountains namely mountain karisimbi, mountain sabyinyo, mountain gahinga, mountain bisoke and mountain muhabura. The park is a home of 218 mammal species, over 700 birds species and other primates such as vervet monkeys, golden monkeys, and black and white colobus among others.

How to obtain a gorilla permit in Rwanda.

All tourist who want to participate in gorilla trekking in Rwanda will obtain a gorilla trekking permit in order to participate in gorilla trekking. They can book a gorilla trekking permit through the Rwanda development board if you’re not interested in booking through a tour company or any trusted tour operator or tour company. To get a discount on a gorilla permit in Rwanda you must be having 5 days or more safari. Gorilla permit in Rwanda goes for USD 1500 per person valid for one day and it’s always advised to book gorilla trekking permits in advance

You must have a passport with you with every detail and its one the requirements asked by Rwanda development board to determine if you have a right age to trek gorillas. And for one to qualify for a gorilla trekking permit they must be ages 15 and above. And once you successfully complete the gorilla trekking you will be issued a certificate by Rwanda development board.
